According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in December, 2019, Montana added the highest number of jobs to the private investigation and security services industry (19), followed by New Mexico (15), and New Hampshire (12).

On the other hand, California added the least number of jobs (-1,618), followed by Illinois (-1,481), and Florida (-971).
