According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in July, 2019, West Virginia added the highest number of jobs to the private independent artists, writers, and performers industry (), followed by Pennsylvania (330), and California (224).

On the other hand, Wisconsin added the least number of jobs (-248), followed by New York (-177), and Nebraska (-143).
