In April 2019, the following were the rankings of the top 10 Indiana counties based on the number of State Government employment they had for All Industries:

  1. Marion: 24,464
  2. Delaware: 4,599
  3. Lake: 3,359
  4. Allen: 2,840
  5. Vanderburgh: 2,649
  6. Vigo: 2,624
  7. St. Joseph: 1,980
  8. LaPorte: 1,972
  9. Wayne: 1,332
  10. Madison: 1,319

The following were the rankings of the top 10 Indiana counties based on the number of State Government jobs added to All Industries in April 2019:

  1. Delaware: 775
  2. Vanderburgh: 99
  3. Madison: 33
  4. Sullivan: 32
  5. Brown: 27
  6. LaPorte: 24
  7. Parke: 23
  8. Owen: 20
  9. Franklin: 16
  10. Clay: 15
