According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2019, Nebraska added the highest number of jobs to the state government hospitals industry (), followed by Virginia (1,604), and Alabama (347).

On the other hand, New Jersey added the least number of jobs (-123), followed by Louisiana (-113), and Colorado (-69).
