According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2019, Washington added the highest number of jobs to the state government national security and international affairs industry (), followed by Massachusetts (12), and Hawaii (9).

On the other hand, Arkansas added the least number of jobs (-19), followed by Kentucky (-5), and Nevada (-4).
