According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.4% (sa) in November, 2002. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Denali (17.7%), Kusilvak (16.4%), and Aleutians East (15.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Juneau (5.5%), Anchorage (5.8%), and Sitka (6%).
