According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.6% (sa) in April, 2004. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (20.2%), Skagway-Hoonah-Angoon (15.5%), and Denali (14.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Juneau (5.7%), Anchorage (6.3%), and Sitka (6.4%).
