According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.6% (sa) in February, 2004. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Denali (23%), Skagway-Hoonah-Angoon (21%), and Yakutat (19.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (3.7%), Anchorage (6.5%), and Juneau (6.8%).
