According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.8% (sa) in June, 2005. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (24.9%), Bethel (13.9%), and Northwest Arctic (13.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Denali (2.5%), Bristol Bay (3.4%), and Sitka (5.1%).
