According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.9% (sa) in February, 2006. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (21.9%), Yakutat (20.8%), and Bristol Bay (16.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (3.7%), Juneau (6.1%), and Anchorage (6.1%).
