According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.9% (sa) in January, 2006. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (20.6%), Yakutat (18.2%), and Denali (15.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (5.4%), Anchorage (5.8%), and Juneau (5.9%).
