According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.6% (sa) in July, 2006. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (25.3%), Bethel (13.9%), and Nome (13.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Bristol Bay (1.6%), Denali (2.3%), and Aleutians West (3.9%).
