According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.7% (sa) in June, 2006. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (23.4%), Bethel (14.3%), and Nome (13.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Denali (2.5%), Bristol Bay (2.6%), and Lake and Peninsula (4.7%).
