According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.3% (sa) in April, 2008. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (20.6%), Yukon-Koyukuk (14.4%), and Bethel (13.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): North Slope (3.9%), Juneau (4.4%), and Kodiak Island (5%).
