According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.5% (sa) in August, 2008. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (20.7%), Bethel (14.2%), and Yukon-Koyukuk (11.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Denali (1.7%), Bristol Bay (1.9%), and North Slope (4%).
