According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.5% (sa) in July, 2008. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (24.4%), Bethel (14.1%), and Yukon-Koyukuk (13.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Bristol Bay (1.3%), Denali (2%), and Juneau (4%).
