According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.3% (sa) in March, 2008. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Skagway-Hoonah-Angoon (21.2%), Kusilvak (21%), and Prince of Wales-Outer Ketchikan (16.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (2.8%), North Slope (4.3%), and Juneau (4.8%).
