According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.8% (sa) in November, 2008. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Skagway-Hoonah-Angoon (20.9%), Kusilvak (16.1%), and Denali (14.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): North Slope (3.7%), Lake and Peninsula (5.1%), and Juneau (5.3%).
