According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.9% (sa) in August, 2010. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (20.7%), Yukon-Koyukuk (14.3%), and Bethel (14.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (3.7%), Aleutians East (3.9%), and Petersburg (4.6%).
