According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.8% (sa) in April, 2011. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (20.7%), Denali (19.7%), and Lake and Peninsula (19.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians East (5.1%), Juneau (5.7%), and Sitka (6%).
