According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.6% (sa) in August, 2011. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (20.6%), Yukon-Koyukuk (15.4%), and Northwest Arctic (14.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (4%), Aleutians East (4.2%), and Bristol Bay (4.3%).
