According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.4% (sa) in December, 2011. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Denali (27.2%), Skagway (26.5%), and Kusilvak (20.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Juneau (5.4%), Anchorage (5.5%), and Fairbanks North Star (6.6%).
