According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.8% (sa) in January, 2011. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Skagway (29.8%), Denali (28.1%), and Kusilvak (23.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (5.2%), Aleutians East (5.6%), and Juneau (6.5%).
