According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.7% (sa) in September, 2011. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (19.3%), Yukon-Koyukuk (17%), and Northwest Arctic (15.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (4.9%), Juneau (5%), and Aleutians East (5.5%).
