According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.6% (sa) in September, 2011. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (19%), Yukon-Koyukuk (16.7%), and Northwest Arctic (15.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (4.7%), Juneau (4.9%), and Aleutians East (5.3%).
