According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.2% (sa) in August, 2012. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (21.2%), Bethel (15.2%), and Northwest Arctic (15%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Sitka (4.3%), Juneau (4.5%), and Anchorage (5%).
