According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 7.1% (sa) in September, 2012. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (19.9%), Bethel (15.2%), and Northwest Arctic (15%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Juneau (4.3%), Sitka (4.6%), and Anchorage (4.8%).
