According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.7% (sa) in August, 2016. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (20.3%), Yukon-Koyukuk (15.1%), and Northwest Arctic (14.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians East (1.7%), Aleutians West (2.1%), and Skagway (3%).
