According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.7% (sa) in December, 2016. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Skagway (20.9%), Denali (18.9%), and Kusilvak (17.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): North Slope (3.8%), Sitka (4.6%), and Aleutians West (4.6%).
