According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.5% (sa) in August, 2017. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (18.1%), Northwest Arctic (15.9%), and Yukon-Koyukuk (15.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians East (1.5%), Skagway (2.6%), and Aleutians West (2.8%).
