According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.6% (sa) in December, 2017. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Skagway (19.9%), Kusilvak (17.5%), and Hoonah-Angoon (17.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): North Slope (3.7%), Sitka (4.5%), and Juneau (4.8%).
