According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 5.9% (sa) in August, 2018. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (18.1%), Bethel (12.5%), and Northwest Arctic (12.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians East (1.9%), Skagway (2.4%), and Denali (2.6%).
