According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.1% (sa) in December, 2018. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Skagway (18.3%), Kusilvak (17.9%), and Hoonah-Angoon (16%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): North Slope (3.6%), Sitka (4.3%), and Juneau (5.1%).
