According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 6.5% (sa) in January, 2018. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Skagway (21.3%), Kusilvak (19.3%), and Haines (19.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians West (2.9%), Aleutians East (3.5%), and North Slope (4.1%).
