According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 5.9% (sa) in September, 2018. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (15.5%), Northwest Arctic (11.2%), and Bethel (10.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians East (2.5%), Skagway (2.8%), and Denali (3.2%).
