According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 5.9% (sa) in September, 2018. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (15.1%), Bethel (10.8%), and Northwest Arctic (10.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Skagway (2.4%), Denali (2.5%), and Aleutians East (2.5%).
