According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 5.3% (sa) in March, 2024. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Colusa (19.2%), Imperial (16.4%), and Tulare (12%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (3.5%), San Francisco (3.7%), and Marin (3.7%).
