According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Connecticut was 9.4% (sa) in December, 2009. Among all Connecticut counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Windham (10%), New Haven (9.6%), and Hartford (9.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Middlesex (7.1%), Tolland (7.5%), and Fairfield (8.1%).
