According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Connecticut was 8.4% (sa) in July, 2009. Among all Connecticut counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): New Haven (9.3%), Windham (9.2%), and Hartford (9.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Middlesex (7.2%), Tolland (7.5%), and New London (7.8%).
