According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Connecticut was 7.7% (sa) in March, 2009. Among all Connecticut counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Windham (9.3%), New Haven (8.5%), and Hartford (8.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Tolland (6.7%), Middlesex (6.9%), and Fairfield (7.4%).
