According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Indiana was 10.8% (sa) in June, 2009. Among all Indiana counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Howard (20.6%), Elkhart (18.2%), and Noble (18.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Daviess (6.2%), Hamilton (7.1%), and Monroe (7.2%).
