According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Indiana was 10.3% (sa) in March, 2009. Among all Indiana counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): LaGrange (21.2%), Elkhart (20.6%), and Noble (18.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Daviess (6.2%), Monroe (6.6%), and Hamilton (6.9%).
