According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Maine was 3.1% (sa) in January, 2019. Among all Maine counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Washington (5.7%), Hancock (5.5%), and Somerset (5.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Sagadahoc (2.7%), Cumberland (2.7%), and Androscoggin (3.4%).
