According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Minnesota was 7.8% (sa) in December, 2009. Among all Minnesota counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Clearwater (13.6%), Kanabec (13.4%), and Mille Lacs (13.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Clay (4.6%), Rock (4.9%), and Nobles (4.9%).
