According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Minnesota was 8.1% (sa) in July, 2009. Among all Minnesota counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Clearwater (11.8%), Mille Lacs (11.4%), and Kanabec (11.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Murray (4.4%), Clay (4.8%), and Stevens (5%).
