According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Minnesota was 8% (sa) in September, 2009. Among all Minnesota counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Mille Lacs (11.2%), Kanabec (10.5%), and Clearwater (10.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Murray (4%), Clay (4%), and Big Stone (4.3%).
