According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Nevada was 5.6% (sa) in July, 2002. Among all Nevada counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Esmeralda (7.3%), Nye (7.3%), and Lander (6.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): White Pine (3.9%), Storey (4.1%), and Elko (4.7%).
