According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Nevada was 8.6% (sa) in November, 2008. Among all Nevada counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Lyon (12%), Nye (11.8%), and Douglas (9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Lander (4.7%), Elko (4.7%), and Eureka (4.8%).
