According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 4.4% (sa) in December, 2004. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cape May (8%), Cumberland (5.9%), and Atlantic (5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (2.7%), Somerset (2.9%), and Morris (2.9%).
