According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 4.3% (sa) in April, 2005. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cape May (7%), Cumberland (5.7%), and Essex (5.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (2.9%), Morris (3%), and Somerset (3.2%).
