According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 4.3% (sa) in July, 2005. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cumberland (6.5%), Essex (6%), and Passaic (5.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (3.3%), Morris (3.5%), and Somerset (3.6%).
