According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 4.2% (sa) in August, 2007. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cumberland (6%), Passaic (5.4%), and Atlantic (5.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (2.8%), Somerset (3%), and Morris (3%).
